Seabrook, NH was first settled in 1638 when it was part of Hampton, NH. It was incorporated as a separate town in 1768, and named Seabrook, NH after the Seabrook River. The boundary between Hampton, NH and Seabrook, NH was subject to periodic disputes for nearly two centuries, and was finally settled by court decision in 1953. Seabrook, NH is now home to the Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant, itself source of much dispute and controversy. Seabrook, NH is a coastal town bordering Salisbury, Massachusetts.
